Aloha Hawaii

the last day on Oahu i was able to slip out for a few waves at Pipeline before getting on the plane b ack to Cali..

my good friend and legendary shooter Vince Cavataio got these of me surfing it.. 

and YES... it is extremely scary at all times out there and very very dangerous.. 
but a monk seal was cruisng through the lineup all day which is very rare and i was sharing waves with legendary pipeliner Derek Ho and just having an amzing morning :)

thank you for all the help, love and continued support tthis year... I have never had a shot (especially from the water out there) so i am THRILLED hahah now i just gotta get one in a really big barrel! :) :) :) 

and got to see my friend from Guatemala and hang out.. she shot some fun photos skating my friends backyard ramp.. :)

what a YEAR!! whew.. lets do it again!

Vince Cavataio is an amazing photographer. He has been submitting to Surfer magazine for many a years with some of the best photos of the beach and bikini girls!! I love catchin up with him and i Love that he is in the water at dawn everyday or on the beach shooting..

North Shore Daze

More of the North Shore Daze... been small waves but thats about to change.. Vince Cavataio got a few fun ones of me the other day when it was big and lumpy... Droppin In

Pete Hodgson got a few nice shots of me the other day at Rocky Point!!! I am THRILLED to get a shot from such a legend i grew up looking at his photos and its great to be able to hang out with him, talk history and not to mention get a few shots while i'm tryin to get my sea legs back..!! :) STOKED>. Yesturday was crowded but a few good ones.. i had a bad session and got snaked on all my good waves. hhaha oh well.. guys they needed those waves more than i did... Here is another legendary photographer i looked up to and aspired to be... Vince Cavataio!! just stoked to be surfing and among friends!!

Two Times the Fun

SOOO STOKED!! Had a great little session with tons of my friends yesturday.. Love it when its like that.. The boys and some girls , doing what we do best and just laughing and having a good time. Hawaii Season

Hawaii Season has started and shooting is fun!!
Its kinda really scary as photographers meet up on the beach after a year of working alone and chat.
We get a chance to chat about life, work and state of the economy.. I am fearful as many of the great legends and hellmen that I know are concerned.. that makes me even more wary of the future and what the industry holds for the photographers that give it such a platform to stand on..

Its great to meet up with other photographers as our tribe is fun, quirky, a list of charachters and many a good times and laughs. We all share the drive and need to create and document history. We love our jobs, our lives and our work. Lets hope we can build an industry that suports what we do and thrive doing the best work we can...
