NIcaragua

Just got back from Nicaragua and another fun trip at La Barra and AST.

Had some groms there for a bit and Sidney got us a bunch of fish..

Kyle got some tubes.

Ian hacked at a bunch and Trevor got some clips...

and everyone helped paint the local school for the groms.

catching up on work so the blog should start firing up again as well as the instagram!

Galapagos Tube

Got some really fun waves this year in the Galapagos.. Been holding off on sharing them cause i knew this was coming out soon.. Got a story about our trip in the newest issue of Radical Magazine from Ecuador. Super stoked and got a barrel shot of me that my buddy Paul Gamboa shot... Paul also let me borrow this board i'm getting barreled on... stoked.. aloha y'all!!!

Barrel Country

Had a blast last week slipping into LA right in time for a fun swell.. Shot a spot that rarely breaks and got some great stuff.. Met up with an old friend whom I met in Indo years back and it was great to catch up.

Hooked up with local shooter Brad Jacobson and his website Civic Couch. Was blessed to have him show me some spots with the local shredders, share some laughs and get some tube time of my own..We got this shot and a bunch more which came out great!! Soo stoked to hop in the water after a plane ride and get busy!!! Thanks again for shooting Brad and hope to link up again next swell!!

Yesturday was sooo fun.. got one amazing wave and there are more on the way!!!! I hope yo u are getting waves too! these aren't the waves i'm surfing right now, but you get the point.

Hard Work Pays Off

Been workin hard and finally slipped out for a few waves of my own this morning.. A few turned into a handful which quickly turned into a session... I was blessed to pick this one off and get through it... so stoked.. Randomly met Ryan Faulk on the beach after coming in after this wave... he announced he was injured and couldn't surf.. He was out for a stint and picked up a camera... I am so stoked he did and got these fun shots of me

Taste of Things to Come

Waves are coming... and I'll be in Oklahoma.. haha.. its all good.. I'm stoked to see my nephews and family.. skate park day will be fun... Texas is getting swell and so is California.. enjoy....

amazing day today...... barrels to stalefish, skates swim along the sand...cheater fives on the clock.....
life is good.... spoke with my good friend Seth last nite.. stoked.... raise a beer to him and the boys over seas!!!

Sun on my skin and offshores to my back! Thats what i felt after i surfed this morning...
Went out this morning, for those who can't, and had a hard time in the early sucked out tide...i really just wanted to say "ok i surfed" and go in and call it a day.. i kept sticking it out even though it was very cold, bitin cold this morning.. The offshore Santa Ana's continued to blow and the tide got better.
I have been more driven lately to find happiness with every session... to find that peace.... my theory has been it only takes one...
today i had 3....

one was flawless and did what the ocean does best.. a surge that when harnessed right, curls over and without fluctuating the body after settin the rail, shoot out clean and untouched....

ride out the back humbly and give thanks.........
i needed that.. my soul needed that....thanks....

Traveling day...

Getting on a plane today to Texas for an upcoming Art Show, Zak's wedding and THanksgiving with the family...

I hope to get some barrels as soon as I get better..
