Sarge!!!!
A sunset from Oahu to Big Island..
A daily foot soak in scalding hot water..
Sarge, Sargent, Old boy, Bu Bu.... the eldest dog had many a name to accomodate himself or be called by those who loved him...
Sarge went on to a greener pasture yesturday and I can only imagine the pain Jimbo is goin through...
I was blessed to spent the last month with Sarge... He would walk into my room when he knew i was awake having coffee..
He would press his head up against my leg so you would pet him behind his ears... He loved it...
as did i....
He would then sit next to ur feet and just be...... be there and be good energy around u....
Sarge knew his time was coming, i feel that Sarge wanted to share the last amazing energy with me and everyone in the house..
He truly just loved people!
Sarge was a great dog and his photos of him a youngblood are amazing so big and strong...
Every morning at about 8:30 or 9am when his blood was circulating well and the sun had warmed him up, he would gallop down the hall back and forth like an excited pup...
Take naps and hang out at your feet all day...
then around 4pm he would have a flurry again and gallop (litterally ) gallop down the halway again as if his body temperature had finally warmed up enough to get the old dog moving!! hahah
I loved it..... He was strong fast and furious...
Jim walked him religiously 2 times aday... Sarges' collar was WAY to big for him nowadays and would easily slip off if Sarge looked down.. Despite the gap, NO WAY could you not continue to keep this amazing dog on a leash and let him revel in the feeling of being a strong and mighty dog that he was.. Harmless as a kitten in his age, yet still he knew his job and served his master and best friend wholeheartedly..
I can only imagine the heartbreak my friend Jim is experiencing....
I am glad to have known Sarge and even more blessed he and i enjoyed so much time together...
Thanks Sarge.....
Man's Best Friend.....
