Exhausted

So tired from a lengthy week of work only to get tipped out $100 ...
WTH man....??? Horseshit... so bummed...
should have just sat on the beach instead of tryin to open someones world up..

not in the best of moods...
the little hummingbird outside of my window tryin to stay outta the rain makes it a little more bearable..

Summer and Colors

Summer here in California has been happening.. the beaches are full, there has been waves and TONS more coming!!
Girls are in Bikinis and Hurricanes are shifting things around elsewhere...
This week has been amazing with my surf student/ sidekick. It's been a great week of work and can't wait to have Sunday off.
Pay all my bills on Monday hopefully and get caught up and ready to travel / work on photos more.

Full days on the beach...
today was a bike ride to shoot lineups... Surf lessons and some lunch and games at the surf shed..
followed by hand planning then a trip to the candy shop for some sour wax bottles....
yeah.. they are sour...... !
Doin it all again tomorrow.. and the next day and the next... and the next.... and the next...

Fun in the Sun

WHEW!!!
work has been great with lots of it... Hanging out with a grom all day surfing, skim boarding , skating and then home! hahah
this one is wearing me out...
I am officially NOT GOOD at skimboarding... it is HARD!!!
Evan and some of the local groms were giving us pointers.. but yes to me its scary.. hahaha

Oh well better get good cause i have a few more days of this!! hahah..

Infinity donated a few of my boards to hang on the wall (sorry better photos to come!)
There are some prints of mine goin up this week as the place is almost totally done with decorations..
It has been slammed since opening!!! woohoo...

Carissa Moore

Carissa Moore has always been one of my favorite surfers to work with.
I have known her for quite sometime and stoked that she has done so well with her surfing!
SO......
CONGRATULATIONS on Carissa's first world title!!! The youngest woman to achieve that...
Stoked for her and the work we have created..
So i have been goin through all my old photos starting at when she was around 12 or 13 up to present.

Work and blog

Working and bloggin are two totally different beasts....
a blog is work......
Thats why I was asking for more sponsorship money (which is happening soon) to help keep this and the other blog up and goin.
Stoked as i would love to show more everyday but everything has a price...

Bored

REALLY bored today.. yes its my fault.. yes i wanted to do stuff.. but i took the day off and did really nothing..
feel bad about it but.. what can i say... ?
just in a funk i think...... or too much of a good time last nite. hahah.

Had a great week with my nephews and family is where is matters most....
So at the end of the day I was able to go fishing with my brother, dad and the nephews...
Tons of fish were caught.. we had a blast and life is good....

Bikes

My surf bikes have been a HUGE part of my life since arriving in San Clemente.
I go through quite a few as I do alot of beach time. haha..
stoked....

My morning ride is fun and its great to see what the waves are doing... Lessons cancelled due to lack of waves...
yup... bummer.....

Shuffling photos for companies cause Carissa Moore just won her first world title... Stoked for her!!! Fun goin through all the years of photos too as the kids grow up..

BLAST

Had a BLAST yesturday.. morning bike ride with my morning rabbit friends..,

teach some surfing in Laguna

and then hit up my friend Cannon to skate his ramp!!!
This thing is punk rock!! super tight trannies so if you go down its a legit stack... ahhaha.
got my 50-50 indy grab grinds in which felt tough and some f/s disasters that were sketchy to roll away with. hahah..
love it!!

A longboard session to the pub for some beers and dinner and a bomb home listening to Pantera only to wake up and do it all over again..
Life is good..

How to Make a Skateboard

So if you are a skateboarder.. and you have never seen how a board is actually made, its a pretty special thing...
Whenever I visit the Sector 9 Warehouse / factory it's like a kid in a candy store..
There is soo much goin on and soo cool what each station is doing...
SO here is a little insight on how these fun little toys are made....

Jamie O'Brien

I recently was in Cabo for a SIMA event.. Jamie O'Brien was down there with Luke Walsh and more.. Tow ats in front of the hotel was awesome.. Jamie is a great guy and was interviewed by Martin Potter while we were down there. Jamie is one of my favorite surfers and one of the best to work with.

Family

Family First!!!
Its all you got at the end of the day... So i took a week off of work in California to run back to Texas to teach the groms how to surf again and introduce it to the new ones... SO much fun with the whole family out in the water...
it is definately a great feeling that surfing had brought us all down to the beach to enjoy its fruits....
Growing up i never thought i would see this day.... I was very proud and thankful to surfing for help unite us and entertain and thrill so many!!!

The surf was perfect for groms.. I am so glad I went home and enjoyed time with the family and groms...

HUGE thanks to Jeremy at Covered Up surf shop on the island for renting out the boards!! Perfect!!
Thanks to EG and the Sector 9 family for the decks to get the gang up to date with their skating skills and equipment.. So pumped on sharing the boarding life with the kids....
